virtu❧ The mana lineages of both worlds are descended from Mithos Yggdrasill, meaning he's Colette and Zelos's ancestor.
❧ Her mother died when she was very little. Colette has no memory of her.
❧ She was about four or five when the priests were like, "Hey guess what, you're gonna die when you're 16." She didn't really comprehend what that meant until she met Lloyd.
❧ Learned to fight specifically to protect herself on her journey.
❧ Late in the game when she became Martel's vessel and communicated with Martel's spirit, Colette offered to let Martel have her body. It was really half-hearted and motivated mostly out of Colette's sympathy for Martel's pain and suffering, which Martel could tell. Colette didn't actually want to lose her body. Obviously Martel refused.
❧ She still prays to Martel every night. Yes, she knows it's weird.
❧ People in the two worlds face the Holy Ground of Kharlan when they pray. Not really Colette headcanon and it's kind of random, but idk?????
❧ Colette's actually a pretty good liar. She's certainly not on the same level as Kratos, Zelos, Raine, or Regal, but when the topic is something important to her, she's pretty good at lying/deflecting the question. Sometimes she'll outright lie (re: Martel), sometimes she'll skim over something or change the subject (re: dying), and sometimes she'll act dumb to draw attention away from the original topic.
❧ Her and Lloyd's first stop on their journey to collect Exspheres was Palmacosta, where they threw themselves into the rebuilding efforts. She knows people blame her for what happened to Palmacosta, and she also knows she can never make it right. But she's partly responsible, so she wants to help in any way she can.
